I’ve been surfing quite a bit in the last few days :-) Here is a selection of nice dolls-related tutorials I stumbled upon while looking for other stuff and I thought about saving the links and sharing with you all.

Make a Barbie card

How to make Dolls bedding

How to make a Dollhouse sofa

How to make a Felt Matrioska doll via Feltorama

Let me know if you try any of them :-)

Beyond the dollhouse

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

If you need a good excuse to plan  a trip to England check this gallery out. They are pictures of the permanent exhibition displayed at the Leonardslee gardens in Sussex. It features a full 19th century estate and near-by market in 1:12 scale and it occupies a full building.  But it includes much more than this! Have a quick look:

I’m speechless! I’m already pestering my husband, we have absolutely to go there. Also the area itself is supposed to be beautiful.

And while you are in Essex you can also visit the Dollshouse Museum of Katharina Gerstorfer, ohhh….this could be really a great holiday idea!!!

My antiquarian shop

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

So, my antiquarian shop is progressing, I’m not sure though if I will leave like it is or add some finishing touches. I added a couple of furniture and some small props I bought yesterday at the Action Figurado fair. The dolls are are a repro Barbie and Skipper:

DollHouses on Internet – The Leaky Cauldron

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Here I’m again, my husband helped me out and the socks were folded in 10 minutes :-)

So..more time for surfing and after the Barbie Victorian Mansion and the Hobbit house, have a look at what I found on Flickr: the Leaky Cauldron from the Harry Potter saga. Such a pity it is again in1/12 scale but it is awesome. If you have time browse trough the other sets as well, this collector has gorgeous pieces, I just would like them in 1/6 scale!!!

Dollhouse update

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

My Dollhouse furnishing is still in progress and I’m enjoying a lot looking for small things to decorate it.

Actually I enjoy it much more than decorating my own flat since it is less expensive and I don’t need to move heavy furniture around :-)

Here is what I found yesterday at our usual supermarket, I believe they are the right size and they were priced 2 euros each, two small decorative statues for the balcony, are they not sweet?

Fleamarket today! And other great finds-part 2

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

So, here are the other finds of the day, after what I showed in my previous post.

My husband, spotted this one below, like he did with the oriental chest-drawer. It is a 1:6 replica of a vorwerk hoover. The seller said it was produced for the 30th anniversary of the company. It comes in a nice presentation box with a certificate of authenticity:

It is a pity that it is made just in a single colour but still very nice :-)

Another great find I’m very excited about is this huge  lot of of Lady Lovely Locks from the ’80, included the Duchess of RavenWaves:

And now, all in one go (because I’m tired to write) some last small things: a trash bin in 1:6, a  small barbie shelf (to be repainted) and 4 beautiful, mint Barbie and Petra outfits:

So, that’s all for today, looking forward to the next flea-market :-)
