Dolls day and …a nice comic ;-)

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

My sister-in-law and I had a dolls day a couple of weeks ago. We took lots of pictures, talked of course about dolls and …Played around :-)

Here are some pictures of the meeting, Dani was just totally taken by Brad (who wouldn’t?):

As you can see he got quite a warm welcome ;-) The dress she’s wearing was made by Ursula.

The other girls in meantime were taking coffee and pastries:

Arianna also showed them some new pieces she acquired for the house:

and at the end of the day Ursula even prepared a super-funny comic ;-) read it here.

Paper galore

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

Even if you are not a Dookie-poo fan, have a look at the amazing paper-craft sets published on Dookie-poo paperjam, they are amazing and for free! I bet they could suit other small dolls.

And if you need more cute dioramas here again the link for the rooms of the papermuseum, lots of sets have been added recently so check it out again!

But the find of the day, thanks to Lady Ciccia’s blog, are these adorable printies. Honestly, have a look at them (all the pages, not just the first one), they are adorable :-)

Nice papercraft props and dioramas

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

I found  recently some nice paper-models that could be cute props for small and medium sized dolls, perhaps you are interested in them as well. Here you can get a set made of food boxes and an old fashion TV. I really like the TV!

If instead you like vintage entertainment systems have a look at these great NES play-consoles, just go to the site and scroll down toward the end of the page. These ones are in 1/8 scale, they could work out also for Skipper ;-)

But the one I really love is the small garden-shed, as soon as I saw  it I remembered having seen last saturday in a shop here some dolls, Shelly-sized. They are dressed in delightful Hello Kitty  outfits and are packed together with garden tools. How nice would they look together? The garden shed comes anyway with the templates for the tools :-)

Happy crafting!

Betsy in the kitchen

Friday, October 31st, 2008

I’m finally starting to feel a bit better and hopefully by sunday (Barbie fair!!!) I wil be fine. In meantime I helped Betsy to prepare a meal in the dollhouse for Momoko and Arianna, She was really excited about it. She even dressed as a chef! Can you believe it? As you know the kitchen is not ready so she took the lounge-room coffee table over to the kitchen to work better. The fridge is too high for her so she had to use a stool but all together she managed well and the girls were delighted over the great meal. Here a couple of pictures:

The accessories, like the kitchen furniture and her outfit, are all almost re-ment and, as usually, you can buy them by my husband.

Paper diorama for a doctor office – just great!

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

I subscribed to few feeds from papercraft blogs (I love this stuff!) and today I saw on PaperCraft Paradise a post regarding a cute Doctor Office diorama, if I understood correctly it is even 1/6 scale since they mentioned it could be used also for Gi Joe. The office set is avalaible here, and then on this page you can get the equipment. A full history  and origins of the diorama paperset can be read on Paper Bonanza blog.

I’m not sure when and if I will have a go at it but I saved all the pdf files, I hate when I bookmark something absolutely nice and months afterwards it is gone. I have a large harddisk and I can always get a bigger one LOL.

Planning dioramas

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Today the weather was amazingly good and we went a bit around shops. I would like to prepare a simple Halloween diorama for october, nothing too demanding but still I need to plan ahead otherwise I will end up like last year…doing nothing. Here around there are lots of of these shops selling stuff for 1, 2 euros and I went hunting for props. I think I found a couple of interesting things, here a small peak :-)

For the moment you will have to try guessing what it is :-)
