The toys/dolls situation here around is pretty miserable but Saturday I decided to check in Kaufhof what they had and behave and behold!!! They had all the 3 Barbie in Pink dolls for 9.99 euros. For the moment I picked up only 2 of them:

I admit I  wanted them mostly for the clothes and accessories than the dolls themselves, this is why most probably I will end up buying the third one as well.

Then I found this adorable Beatrix Potter duck or 2 euros at TK MAXX, I couldn’t leave her there all alone

and this cute San Valentine mini teddy bear in a book shop for 5 euros:

The girls were delighted;-)

My sister-in-law and I had a dolls day a couple of weeks ago. We took lots of pictures, talked of course about dolls and …Played around

I didn’t post for a long time but…I’m always so tired in the evening. I think it is because of this very unstable (generally bad) weather we are having here.

Anyway last weekend we went to two flea-markets. I didn’t find amazing stuff (and on Sunday I didn’t find any doll at all) but I picked few things anyway on Saturday.

I got the pregnant Midge I wanted for a while (I should have bought her when she was in the stores!!!). She needs to be cleaned and groomed up but for 3 euros she’s fine:

an unknown doll by Giochi Preziosi (a very good Italian toys manufacturer) for 1 euro:

I like her dress and her face.

Always for 1 euro each I got this sweet-looking Skipper and a Monchhichi (I’m becoming addicted to them):

I also picked up a repro Barbie and My Scene Vespa (the mirrors are missing) for few euros:

And then again some small things like a black Kelly, a Barbie Baby and some pairs of shoes:

Last but not least…miniatures!!!

They are a bit “biggish” but I love the cup (it is real glass) and the geisha doll under the glass dome. I put them beside Momoko for size comparison:

So…despite having played Munchkins till 1 am yesterday night and having drunk several glasses of wine in the process (this last one together with a friend of ours, my husband doesn’t drink) we managed to get up fairly early today and be in Bonn at 9:15

The flea-market was as I remembered: huge and with some sellers having ebay prices, but I still I managed to buy quite  a lot with the 21 euros spent for what you see below..

I got a nice high-chair and pram, shelly size:

I love the fact that they have the Fisher Price label on them, like real ones, and they match some other nursery accessories I bought with another set.

Believe it or not, at 2,50 euros each they were the most expensive stuff I bought today

I got a sweet Monchichi, not vintage but original for 1 euro:

she’s minty minty and in need of clothes.

Then a LLL StrongHeart  prince for 50 cents

and this beautiful Teresa with original dress:

I picked up lots of  Tupperware miniatures:

actually even more than the ones you see in the picture.

Lots of nice clothes for my dollies, almost all in mint conditions and with the Barbie label:

I love the pink stola and matching bag (right hand-side). The stola actually has a hook so that it can be closed.

Then again some Barbie miniatures, included a new sewing machine (this one though is just labeled “Made in Hong Kong”):

and like the previous one I bought last week if you turn the white “switch” the needle goes up and down.

I also got a nice  “cocktail” set and a small (but really small) Cinderella coach, it is the perfect size to be a toy for Shelly or another small doll:

and then, well…I really couldn’t resist…I know it is pink and huge but I picked it up for almost nothing:

pity that the second night-table is missing.

I’m really happy with my shopping especially because I will have  a stressful week from monday on so I needed something nice to cheer me up.

Today was again flea-market time and the weather was gorgeous. There were quite few dolls around but I need to be a bit “selective”. Here is what I could not leave there.

A nice vintage SISO furniture, bed with built-in shelves:

It doesn’t come with the original accessories and the mattress inside needs to be replaced but still it was a nice bargain

Then I found 2 dolls the Barbie 12 Dancing princesses collection:

I think the red-haired one is Edeline, I don’t know who is the second one, but I really wanted Edeline and for 5 euros both I think it is ok.

I also found a beautiful Sindy for 2 euros:

They will be cleaned and join the other girls. Sindy has even the disk still fixed on the back of her head.

I got also few other small Barbie things, like a LIL friend:

together with a Barbie cafe’:

Both the cafe’ and the LIL friend together were 3 euros. The cafe could be great to display Re-ment miniatures.

for 50 cents I just love it! When you turn the small white switch on the right the needle go up and down quite fast.

I’m not sure we’ll manage any other flea-market till june since next weekends I will be working or in Italy but perhaps next saturday…

So, we are back from Hamburg and trust me…I’m happy we managed to be. Normally Hamburg-Düsseldorf takes roughly 4 hours included a bit of traffic (400 km), well…it took us 10 hours yesterday and just because my husband did the last 250 km quite “quickly”.

We were stuck more than 6 hours (more towards 7 actually) in a traffic jam and by it I mean we managed to cover  something like 10 km in this time, it was a nightmare!!! I will never go to Hamburg again!!!! It took me all today to recover and this is why my pictures are dark. I took them late in the afternoon since I couldn’t look at anything reminding me of yesterday

Anyway, enough for rumbling. Before I knew  what terrible afternoon/evening was laying ahead of us I enjoyed the 2 days very much. We met some friends, saw lots of dollies and I bought many things, all small things at bargain prices. So I was still able to spend no more than 45/50 euros and still buy quite few pieces I liked.

I got a red-haired Sindy and a Barbie Beauty secrets. I love them both, they just need cleaning:

By another seller I got the Barbie Beauty Secrets’ original case with all the accessories inside, it was almost more”expensive” than the doll herself but I would like to get also the rest of her clothes somewhere.

Then I got totally smitten by an Hollywood Hair Teresa from beginning of the nineties. I love Teresa with dark blond hair and the makeup is just fabulous:

I also got a “frankenstein” Skipper, the head is on the wrong body but I just wanted the Ginger head:

and then I got lots of clothes The bargain of the day was an original R&D Susie set for 10 euros, the pictures do not show how nice it is:

and it was by far my most expensive purchase. Then 2 Barbie lingerie sets:

In the pictures, because of the rubbish light, it seems to be almost pink but it is really white-white

I also got a very nice vintage Petra’s red skirt and matching blouse but I forgot to take the pictures. The same happened for a small lot of Lady Lovely Locks I bought yesterday as well: doll, dress and a pixie, perhaps I will take pictures next week.

And then I got some small Barbie accessories. I just couldn’t leave there the nice tennis rackets, one for Barbie and one for Skipper. And from the same box I picked up also the superstar bag:

So, this was my shopping at the fair but this month I also got a bit carried away with ebay and bought some cute miniatures, I will show them when they arrive

This is the beginning of my nice long weekend and tomorrow we are heading to the Barbie fair in Hamburg, I can’t wait!!! Hopefully I will find some nice bargains and post pictures next week.
