Visiting (virtual) museums
When I was younger and living in my own country I spent quite few Sundays visiting museums (the shops are closed on this day ..sob …sob) but not anymore. The life of an adult is sometimes taken up by more unpleasant stuff so for example I spent today trying to tidy up my chaotic flat, ironing and cooking.
Now though I’m finally stretching my legs up on my bed and I decided I can still have a nice tour through museums. Do you want to join me?
If you’ve never seen them let’s visit together the Thorne Rooms at The Art Institute of Chicago: you can see here 15 of the 68 rooms they have on display at the museum. Other rooms can be seen at the Phonenix Art Museum and some more at the Knoxville Museum of Art.
If after that you still don’t have enough, we can go for a tour of Colleen Moore’s Fairy Castle a the Museum of Science and Industry, always in Chicago.
If the Thorne Rooms are breathtaking, the Castle will leave you dazzled
Last, but not least, you could have a look at this nice event: some fashions from the 18th century modeled by historic puppets. The site is in Italian so if you do not speak it just jump here at the very beginning of the exhibition. Click on the number of the room to see what is displayed there. The event is hosted by BUMA: Museo Virtuale del Burattino e della Marionetta (Virtual museum of Puppets and Marionettes), very informative site but no english version, pity
So, that’s all for today, time to go to bed and…have a nice week!

Saludos.
