Dolls and shoes, not just shoes but Louis Vuitton shoes: my favourite combo! Watch and enjoy it as It did (found via Josie Loves blog)

Animation

December 3rd, 2011

Just saw on the the Tube another animation short from one of my favourite channels

By time to time I toy with the idea of trying with creating a small animation video with my dolls. What scares me is the amount of work involved versus the possibility to end up at the end with a miserable outcome.

While researching on the net I found this nice neat tutorial

Who knows, perhaps I will give it a try in the long winter months ahead of us but in that case I would need some good lighting solutions.

Things I got excited about this week-totally OFF TOPIC

December 3rd, 2011

I thought about doing a quick post on the things I’ve got excited about this week :-)

I found for once a new Essence LE collection just freshly out on the shelves and picked up all that I wanted, plus few things from the Vampire’s love collection (gorgeous nail-polishes!)

H&M announce its new capsule collection for March

Marni’s accessories are so to die-for, we’ll see how the H&M collection turns out.

Xmas is cropping all around us and I love the recipes galore found now online. I ‘m still debating whether to give a try with cupcakes and this page from the BBC Good Food Channel  is really inspiring.

Last but not least finally we are getting close to the release of “The iron Lady”, looking forward to it!

Let  me know what you all found interesting this week :)

Stardolls by Barbie

November 27th, 2011

The girls are all over Internet so chances are you all have already seen them, if not here they are:

The dolls are not articulated and I wonder how is the quality of the clothes. Most probably before buying any of them I would prefer to see how they look like in real life.

The most interesting bit could be most probably the accessory packs, I’m a sucker for clothes (both for me and my dollies):

I mean…look at the red booties up there, don’t they look hot?

Finally new toys on the shelves

November 26th, 2011

Finally I see new toys on the shops shelves, not as many as I was hoping for to be honest but still better than nothing. I was hunting already for a couple of weeks for Toralei and here she is!!!

You can see how successful this line  is by the fact that the dolls are  disappearing from toy-shops shelves pretty fast and that both collectors and children are hunting for them ;-) I think I was not so taken by a play-line serie since the times Bratz came out (2001-2002?) and I love it.

Also for the first time in a long long time I bought Barbie clothes in a toyshop. I found them quite pricey (10 euros) but for once they appealed to me. The shoes are interesting and so are the patterns from both dresses:

I’m hopeful something else will appear on the shelves before Xmas ;-)

Louboutin advertisement campaign…in 1/6 scale :)

November 1st, 2011

And here is my wee project from this afternoon…I love Louboutin ad campaigns and when I started playing today I couldn’t restrain myself! I tried to replicate them in 1/6. Not sure about the result but I had lot of fun doing it LOL

Let me know what you think!

Dollies time!

November 1st, 2011

Long time I didn’t post anything but also long time I didn’t play with my dolls and ….ohhh….I DID play today!!! I took out some of the dollies who didn’t get all the attention they deserve and spent few quality hours with them. I really enjoyed myself and  I think the girls did as well:)

Here some pictures

I also spent time with a “little project” but that deserves  a post on its own, here though is a small sneak peek:

Hopefully the next post will not be in 2 months ;-)

New girls in the house

September 24th, 2011

I’ve been missing in action for a while, the thing being I do not see many dolls around recently appealing both to my taste and my wallet :-( I also learnt the art of being selective after the terrible experience of moving few months ago!

Said so though I have to admit I really love the Monster High girls. I think this is the best line Mattel produced in a very long time. I find them hardly suitable for children to be honest since they look quite fragile but I left my childhood years behind me long ago so no problem there.

And here are my last two additions to my collection:Abbey Bominable and Lagoona Blue

The only complain I would raise is the hair being saran, so not the most amazing quality. On the other side they are lovely dolls for 20 euros each.

More pictures on my Flickr.
